Mercer Botanical Gardens Humble, TX March 23, 2010
Unfortunately, they were rearranging the gardens and all the signs were off. Some flowers I managed to find signs for; others I didn't. So here are some random tree flowers.
I decided to do a bit of selective coloring on this one. I wasn't going to do it at first, but sometimes I like to always take that "extra step" to see what could come out. I turned down the green so the pink would come out more. The pink in the flower anthers is actual color and it is what attracted me to this tree in the first place. I also thought it was really cool that the tree also had flowers with purple anthers in the same cluster.
Sorry if you don't like it. Somehow my data got lost.
